Hi there! I’m Summer Hampy, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) and Licensed Family Dog Mediator (LFDM).

My passion for dog training bloomed the moment I began attending classes with my own puppy. Witnessing the magic of canine behavior being shaped through positive reinforcement sparked a fire in me. Before that, I explored my love for animals through working in both a boarding facility and an animal hospital. While those experiences deepened my understanding of canine health and husbandry, nothing compared to the thrill of unlocking a dog’s potential through training.

As a trainer with 3 years of professional experience (and 6 years of prior training as a hobbyist!), I firmly believe in customized training plans. My Family Dog Mediator background allows me to personalize training to not only fit the dog’s needs but also the learning style of the owner. By focusing on positive reinforcement and the L.E.G.S. (Learning, Environment, Genetics, Self) framework, I help dogs of all backgrounds and their families build a strong foundation of communication and understanding.
